Global/International or Western Magazines and Newspapers
The Economist SOAS library subscribes to the print magazine, which can be found on Level E (Lee Per 60 /2186). To access digitally, use your Senate House Library membership.
Financial Times SOAS Library subscribes to the digital magazine. Log in with your SOAS email and select SSO (Single Sign On) when prompted.
Foreign Policy [off-site] SOAS Library subscribes to the digital magazine. To use the app, download it while on SOAS wifi, then register as normal. Once that's set up, you can use the app anywhere.

Reuters news is accessible through the library's subscription to Eikon. From the landing page, click on any news article. Then you can navigate the top menu bar and search for articles by topic (Banking, Commodities, Companies, Industries, Markets, Breaking news, etc.) and regions (Australia & New Zealand, Japan and the Koreas, Southeast Asia, India and South Asia, Middle East & Africa, etc.).

African Business (IC Publications) Lee Per 69 / 475204
Formerly called African Development and established in 1966, African Business is a magazine that covers finance, politics, business, technology, energy, resources, arts and culture in Africa.
Africa Confidential. Available in print and online through the library's subscription.
Founded in 1960, Africa Confidential is one of the longest-established specialist publications on Africa, with a considerable reputation for being first with in-depth news and analysis on significant political, economic and security developments across the continent.

Founded in 2000, New Agenda is a South African Journal of Social and Economic Policy and IFAA’s flagship publication. New Agenda aims to bring solid, policy-relevant research to the public in an accessible and intelligible form. The journal's mission is to promote alternative ideas on social, ecological and economic transformation and to challenge inequalities based on race, gender, class, ethnicity and caste, among others, as impediments to a just and democratic society.

This database provides access to more than 60 of the most respected national and regional sources of news and current affairs information in Asia and the Far East. Many titles are available in full text and are updated within 24 hours of publication. Publications include The Wall Street Journal Asia, China News and The Bangkok Post.
The Economic and Political Weekly SOAS library subscribes to the magazine in print (Lee Per 61 /248400) and online.
First published in 1949 as the Economic Weekly and since 1966 as the Economic and Political Weekly, EPW, as the journal is popularly known, occupies a special place in the intellectual history of independent India. For more than five decades EPW has remained a unique forum that week after week has brought together academics, researchers, policy makers, independent thinkers, members of non-governmental organisations and political activists for debates straddling economics, politics, sociology, culture, the environment and numerous other disciplines.
週刋エコノミスト = Weekly economist SOAS Library subscribes to the magazine in print, held offsite (DY/237694). Published by Mainichi Shinbunsha, Tokyo, Japan.
Nikkei (Nihon Keizai Newspaper) is a financial newspaper in Japan, available via the library's subscription to Nikkei Telecom 21. The archive search is available from 1949, and most articles 1988 onwards are available in PDF format. For news articles written in English, select the 'English menu'.
Vietnam Economic Times SOAS Library subscribes to the print magazine, which can be found on Level E (Lee Per 63 /655801). Some articles are also available on their online magazine: Vietnam Economic Times | VnEconomy
Middle East
Middle East Economic Survey (MEES) is available in print in the library. (Lee Per 67 /331085). Founded in 1957, MEES is a weekly newsletter published by Middle East Petroleum and Economic Publications (Cyprus) Ltd. While the library does not subscribe to the online version, the issues and table of contents are available to browse online.
