Username is your student number, six digits, e.g. 123456,
Password is usually your date of birth in a specific format: dd-Mmm-yy
Please change your password if you haven’t already done so!
For basic information on using the Library, please see left hand menu bar.
For more detailed help, please see the Online programme area of Moodle.
CISD students - your Subject Librarian is Hassan Fiaz.
CeDEP students - your Subject Librarian is Farzana Qureshi.
All Distance learning students are able to access the physical library, if they are in London.
To access the Library, SOAS students need to gain an ID card- students usually do this by presenting an enrolment card, issued by the SID. This should have been stamped and signed off by the appropriate sections (fees, identification, etc.).
Alternatively, we also accept emails from the Registry.
Distance Learning students in the UK can apply for SCONUL access to other university libraries but will need to have a SOAS ID card. This ID card can be obtained by visiting the SOAS Library membership desk during opening hours.
The inter-library loan (ILL) service can only be made available to DL students who are able to come to the library in person.
If you have any problems accessing materials please clear your browser cache and try again. If problems persist, please contact electronic@soas.ac.uk.
