  • British Board of Film Classification 
    The British Board of Film Classification is an independent, non-governmental body which has classified cinema films. It also has education site (http://www.sbbfc.co.uk/) where you can find resouces such as reading list and on-line seminar and podcasts on a number of topics, such as South Asian cinema and Japanese Anime. 

  • British Council Film 
    British Council Film site offers good directory for UK films and filmmakers. 

  • Colonial Film Database: Moving Images of the British Empire 
    The website holds detailed information over 6000 film showing images of life in the British colonies. You can search or browse for films by country, date, topic, or keyword. The project was initiated by united universities (Birkbeck and University College London) and archives (British Film Institute, Imperial War Museum and the British Empire and Commonwealth Museum) to create a new catalogue of films relating to the British Empire.

    Film London is the film and media agency which aims to sustains, promotes and develop London as a major international film-making and film culture capital. 

  • Film Noir Foundation 
    It is a non-profit public benefit corporation created as an educational resource devoted to American’s noir heritage. The site includes video archives of interviews with key nor actors and directors.

    MEDIA is the EU support programme for the European audiovisual industry. It promotes European audiovisual works and finances training initiatives for professionals. 

  • National Union of Journalists 
    It is the main UK union representing journalists. It is an active, campaigning organisation seeking to improve the pay and conditions of its members and working to protect and promote media freedom, professionalism and ethical standards in all media.

    This is website of UK MEDIA Team. The website offers information on funding schemes, training courses and promotion/networking events.

    Global Voices a non-profit global citizens’ media project founded at Harvard Law School’s Berkman Center for Internet and Society, a research think-tank focused on the Internet’s impact on society. You can browse by countries or topics.
