• Association of Social Anthropologists of the UK and Commonwealth [ASA]
  The ASA promotes the study, teaching and research of social anthropology. It collates and publishes information on social anthropology and functions as a register of anthropologists.
• Royal Anthropological Institute [RAI]
  The Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland is the world's longest-established scholarly association dedicated to the furtherance of anthropology
• The British Sociological Association
  The British Sociological Association promotes sociology, supports sociologists, and is the public face of sociology in Britain.
• International Union of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences (IUAES)
  The largest world forum of anthropologists and ethnologists, with members from more than fifty countries. The scientific work of the IUAES is carried out by its Commissions, which focus on particular topics of specialized interest.
• American Anthropological Association [AAA]
  They promote the science of anthropology and stimulate and coordinate the efforts of anthropologists from the United States.
• European Association of Social Anthropologists [EASA]
  A network of national and international associations that aims to promote worldwide communication and cooperation in anthropology
• Association for Social Anthropology in Oceania [ASAO]
  This association is an international organization dedicated to comparative studies of Pacific topics.

• Africa Focus: Image and Sound Collection
  Online collection maintained by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Libraries. The collection contains more than 3,000 slides, 500 photographs, and 50 hours of sound from forty-five countries.

  An online digital image archive of cities and buildings around the world.

• The Humphrey Winterton Collection of East African Photographs: 1860-1960
  The Winterton Collection includes around 7,610 photographs. The photographs depict life, primarily in East Africa, between about 1860-1960.
